The cake smash is one of the most joyful milestones in a baby's first year. Priya creates a vibrant, personalised setup tailored to your theme — then captures every messy, delicious, magical moment of the celebration.
Studio Session
Our studio has the space and setup needed for themed cake smash sessions — colourful backdrops, balloons, and a dedicated splash tub bath area. Everything handled for you.
Home / On-Location
Prefer the celebration at home? We can bring a curated setup to your home. Perfect for families who want a casual, intimate birthday atmosphere.
How to Prepare
Best age
Around 10–14 months. Baby is curious and engaged enough to really interact with the cake but not yet too cautious about new textures.
Minimal feeding
We recommend not feeding baby 1–2 hours before the session so they are interested in the cake. A hungry baby is a cake-smashing baby!
Dress in layers
Start with the beautiful party outfit for portraits, then strip down to a vest or nappy for the actual smash — it gets messy!
Book 4–6 weeks ahead
This gives us time to design your custom theme, source props, and arrange the baby-safe cake. Popular dates fill quickly.
Splash bath included
We always finish with an adorable splash bath/tub session — some of the most iconic images come from this part of the shoot.
