When to Shoot
The sweet spot for maternity photography is between 28 and 34 weeks. Your bump is beautifully full and round, but you are still comfortable enough to move freely and hold a variety of poses. Earlier than 28 weeks the bump may not be as prominent; later than 34 weeks can be physically demanding.
What to Wear
Flowing gowns in neutral tones — ivory, blush, dusty rose, sage green — photograph beautifully and are universally flattering. We have a curated gown collection you are welcome to borrow, or bring your own favourite pieces. Avoid very busy patterns which can distract from the beauty of the bump itself.
Poses That Work
The most timeless maternity poses are simple: hands cradling the bump, a gentle side profile showing the full silhouette, looking down at the belly with a quiet smile. We will guide you through every pose — you do not need to have any experience in front of a camera.
